Faith & Modern Life

Living the Life of Jesus in the 21st Century

In “Living the Life of Jesus in the 21st Century,” Tom McQueen takes readers on a transformative journey to rediscover the radical relevance of Jesus’ teachings for modern life. Drawing from scripture and personal reflections, this book challenges the notion that Christ’s life and message are confined to history, bringing His wisdom into the complexities of today’s world.

The book delves deeply into the heart of Jesus’ ministry, exploring His timeless ethical principles, the power of His parables, and His miraculous acts of healing and compassion. Whether addressing issues of love, forgiveness, service, or sacrifice, McQueen illuminates how Christ’s teachings can be translated into practical actions that transform lives and communities.

Each chapter highlights a critical aspect of living as a modern-day disciple:

  •  challenges us to embrace radical love and justice.
  •  offers a deeper connection to the Creator.
  •  demonstrates how releasing grudges brings inner peace.
  •  teaches love and grace in an often-divided world.
  •  offer Christ’s moral compass in a complex, fast-paced society.

McQueen, drawing from his own life and experience, applies Jesus’ teachings to our personal and professional lives, offering actionable steps to live with purpose, integrity, and compassion. In a world marked by division, distraction, and despair, this book reminds readers that the life of Jesus is a dynamic blueprint for spiritual vitality and moral clarity.

Ideal for anyone seeking a deeper, more meaningful connection with their faith, “Living the Life of Jesus in the 21st Century” is a call to action: to move beyond passive belief and actively live out the radical love, justice, and peace that Christ exemplified.

Join McQueen in this profound exploration and discover how to live out the mission of Christ in today’s world, making His life not just a historical example, but a living, breathing reality for all believers.

Personal Development

Wisdom for a Crazy World

Most self-help books give you more information to process when what you really need are better filters to handle the information you already have. They pile on new concepts, new frameworks, new techniques that sound great in theory but fall apart the moment you try to use them in real life when you’re stressed, tired, or emotionally overwhelmed.

This book works backwards from that approach. Instead of adding more complexity to your life, it helps you strip away everything that doesn’t actually serve you so you can focus on what really matters. Instead of teaching you to think like someone else, it helps you remember how to think like yourself again.

The foundation of everything you’ll learn here is a simple three question framework that cuts through noise instantly. These three questions become your automatic filter for every decision, big or small. They help you separate what’s actually important from what just feels urgent. They help you distinguish between your true inner voice and the fears, desires, and external pressures that often masquerade as wisdom.

Leadership & Business

Clueless

Employee trust in leadership in the U.S. is at twenty percent according to Gallup research. Twenty percent! That means eighty percent of workforces walk into their businesses every day believing that their leaders either don’t know what they’re doing, don’t care about them, or both. We are in the midst of the worst leadership crisis that corporate America has ever faced. It doesn’t have to be that way.

The damage isn’t permanent, and the solution doesn’t require years of leadership training or a complete personality overhaul. Trust can be rebuilt quickly when you know exactly what to do, what to say, and how to do it consistently. Clueless: The Tragic State of Leadership in Business Today (And What To Do About It!) gives you those exact steps, those specific words, and the daily practices that turn skeptical employees into engaged team members whose passion is to help you succeed.

Reflections of a Hospice Chaplain

From my vantage point, there is no more rewarding ministry than being a hospice chaplain. To be able to share the last months, weeks, days, and minutes of a person’s life is one of the most solemn privileges given to any human being. In addition, having the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful death experience for both patients and their families is a special blessing from God.

During my early years in pastoral care, I was fortunate to be assigned as a chaplain at a children’s cancer center in Buffalo, New York. It was there that I learned from dying children and teenagers the greatest lessons that life and death have to offer. And now, in the autumn of my ministry, God has found a place for me in Tampa Bay where I can continue my ministry as a hospice chaplain.

What I can attest for certain is that every physician, every nurse, every chaplain, social worker, aide, and support staff member—everyone—works passionately as a team to bring their personal and professional character, competence, and compassion to each patient admitted to our service. And with that type of spirit collaborating in harmony as a team, the final days of our patients’ lives are lived among the caring hearts and hands of our dedicated staff.

Reflections of a Hospice Chaplain is a testament to the beauty of life and death as seen through the eyes and the lives of the young and the old, those who have shared the final steps of their journey in this world with me.

ANNIVERSARY TRIBUTE

Into the Inferno

Into the Inferno is a powerful, reverent, and unforgettable tribute to the firefighters of September 11, 2001 and to the families who continue to carry their legacy long after the smoke cleared.

Written with deep compassion and firsthand understanding, this narrative nonfiction work takes readers inside the firehouses, stairwells, and shattered streets of New York City on the day the world changed forever. It is not merely a history of what happened, but a human story of courage, faith, camaraderie and sacrifice under unimaginable conditions.

Through vivid storytelling and careful detail, Chaplain Tom McQueen brings readers face-to-face with the men and women of the FDNY who answered the call without hesitation.

From the quiet normalcy of the early morning hours to the chaos of collapsing towers, the book captures the physical and emotional reality of those who ran upward into smoke, heat, and uncertainty while others fled for safety. Their decisions were not driven by heroism for recognition, but by duty, love for one another, and an unshakable commitment to serve.

The story also honors Father Mychal Judge, the FDNY chaplain and the first recorded casualty of 9/11, whose life and death embody the book’s central message: true courage is showing up and staying present, even when the cost is everything.

Beyond the events of that day, Into the Inferno explores the lasting impact of September 11 on firefighters, families, and a nation forever changed. It reflects on the emotional scars, the resilience forged in loss, and the responsibility of remembrance.

This book gives voice to the unspoken weight carried by survivors and loved ones, while reminding readers that legacy is not built only in moments of tragedy, but in how we remember, honor, and live forward with purpose.

This 25th Anniversary Tribute is essential reading for anyone seeking to understand the human heart behind the headlines of 9/11.

Whether you are a firefighter, first responder, family member, historian, or reader moved by stories of faith and sacrifice, Into the Inferno stands as a solemn reminder that courage did not end when the towers fell. It endured in the people who rose from the ashes and continue to carry the flame of remembrance.
